Whitacre - Sleep

from The Lord of the Rings by UPEI Wind Symphony

/

about

Originally written for acapella chorus, this rendition combines the resources of the Wind Symphony with the UPEI Concert Choir. The text revolves around what it is like to resist sleep as a child - all the games you play with yourself about monsters under the bed, or spooky shadows in the window - until you eventually "surrender unto sleep".
